It’s prom weekend again and I got to stroll around with this sweet couple. WKU is a great location with awesome backdrops and I think these two enjoyed having their pics taken.

So here is your sneak peek.DSC_9513

If you are a female photographer ( not sure how males feel about it), than you love prom. Because every woman (no matter the age) appreciates beautiful gowns and dresses and we all imagine ourselves in them! So being able to photograph these gowns is a little bit like eating chocolate (the European kind, that melts on your tongue). It makes me drool. I could shoot girls in prom dresses and their handsome looking partners all day long. And I did that all day, yesterday.

First I got to photograph young ladies at the Operation Princess Prom  again. And then I got to shoot two beautiful couples at WKU. One of these sweet girls is my niece and  I just think she is so gorgeous. Can’t wait to show you the rest of the pics.

So dress cute, don’t be boring, life is too short to blend in. I am going dress shopping!

Today I got to photograph 22 beautiful young women as part of an amazing event called: “Operation, Princess Prom”. Volunteers of Crossland Community Church here in Bowling Green prepared for weeks, collected dresses, made flower corsages, volunteered their time and resources to make many young ladies and their families extremely happy.

Helen Keller said: “Alone we can do so little; TOGETHER we can do so much.”   Without help* these girls may not have been able to attend prom this year. Without help they wouldn’t have had their hair and make-up done professionally. Without help they couldn’t have hired a photographer to freeze this once in a lifetime moment.

It takes a village to raise a child and a community to make a princess. Even though not all of their pictures will be posted here (confidentiality), I can promise you that each girl walked out as a princess today. And many people (including myself) with a satisfied heart and a big smile.

So dance away ,Cinderella.       DSC_7358

*Crossland Community Church serves close to 100 girls this prom season by providing dresses, shoes, restaurant gift cards, make-up and hair services to make this day nothing but wonderful for these young woman in need. So let’s do this again! Be the change you wish to see in this world. Get involved. Volunteer.

“… Love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)

It’s prom season. And isn’t my niece just gorgeous? She is a great kid with a big heart, and I still remember her wearing pigtails and helping me bake cookies- not that long ago. Now she is all grown and wears shoes that make me little concerned for her well being. LOL. But they sure make a great prop. So dance away pretty niece and here is your sneak peek!
