The Holidays are always a great time to see friends and family. And while you are getting together, have your pics taken. And that’s exactly what these guys did. They coordinated outfits with very short notice (incredibly) and smiled big in the chilly wind.

Making memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for letting me do that. And here is your sneak peek!dsc_7683

And one more goofy one ;0

Today I got to hang out with these guys. I have met mom and one of her sons for graduation pics this year, and any mom who has successfully raised four boys I want to put on speed dial.

I couldn’t help wondering during the shoot on how many pairs of jeans they went through over the years. How many legos they have stepped on and how many x-rays, skinned knees and knocked out teeth they had to deal with?  (You know now what I am in the middle off…:)  Raising boys is definitely an adventure, and however they did it, they did it well. These young men seem well balanced, smart, handsome, kind and funny. Way to go mom and dad!  And here is your sneak peek!

This is Max. I have known this four legged friend and his people for many years now and if he could talk, he would probably call it The Good Life. A life full of fetching sticks and balls, a life of chasing little feet on bicycles and running along his friend who just signed up for another race. A life where an accidentally left open front door was an invitation to explore the neighborhood. Where muddy feet, hairy rugs or bad breath would never outdo the wet kisses, wagging tails and cuddles on the couch.

I imagine his favorite spot is by the fireplace or the foot board of a bed. I imagine him anxiously waiting for the door knob to turn and his favorite people (now all grown) entering the room. Calling his name.

I love photographing families. And now and then I am getting really spoiled when holding a tiny little baby. This little guy -just a week old, is the cutest and with two older brothers the fun is just beginning. So sweetness overload here it comes: dsc_7011

A few month ago I took some pictures of this little guy. He was just a week old. Fast forward 12 weeks and I can hardly believe how big he has gotten! And how I love those baby rolls. Christmas card material for sure!

Last weekend I got to create some Christmas card material with these sweet families. The chillier weather got here just in time to get out the sweaters and surely enough, these guys put me right in Holiday mood!

Last weekend I got to finally visit a friend of mine’s place. She lives way out there with kiddos and horses, dogs and chickens. I slightly remember hearing a goat too….? So somehow I caught myself humming tunes from”the sound of music” while strolling around with this crew…:)  and here are some of my favorites:dsc_3484

Last week I got to photograph these guys again. Rina and I have taken their family pics a few years ago. Since then, a few more grandchildren came along and Nana and Bob are ready to add more pictures to their walls.

The most precious pictures always happen when no one is looking. So here are some of my favorites…dsc_2640

This week I got to photograph these guys again. I have taken pics of them for many years now and remember the 5 youngest ones as babies. So whenever I get to see them I feel like an extended aunt who get’s to visit twice a year and hear all about the lost tooth, the dance and guitar lessons and newest toys. And when then kids hop into my car, announcing they want to go home with me: I am just completely happy and convinced I am doing something right. Just love these guys.dsc_2285

Last Saturday I got to hang out with these sweet guys. We explored the trails of Lost River Cave while pulling the little ones along in the wagon. And just to say: Moms and dads of toddlers and preschoolers are heroes in my book. I remember it well. The diaper bags, the constant watching of those “independent”, unsteady feet, the tantrums. I remember days without showers, cause I never got that minute.

But I also remember this:dsc_1838

Sweet snuggles and hugs and sticky kisses.

Thank you for letting me come along and capture this season in you all’s  life.  Your family is precious!

And here is your sneak peek!
