Today I got to help this family to create images for their Christmas cards. And the chilly weather and cute clothes got me definitely going. Thank you guys for being such great sports. Watch out folks, you’re getting the coolest Christmas cards soon!

Many of you have followed the incredible journey of my former neighbors and friends Laura and Nathan. Three years ago they felt called to adopt a girl from Congo and started the application process with an adoption agency. In the following month and YEARS they were facing lot’s of bureaucracy, fundraisers, waiting, heartbreaking changes, and more waiting. Finally. Three weeks ago. They brought Lydia home!

What a joy to see this family united. I am so blessed having witnessed their faith and perseverance and most of all: God’s never ending love for us! A verse keeps on popping in my head: ” For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Congratulations Nathan and Laura to your “new bundle of joy”. And thinking of it: The journey is just NOW beginning  DSC_0572

Last weekend I got to stroll around with this family. Both boys are about the same age as my kiddos and it always makes me laugh, when I see how all boys are much alike. It seems, that the same things make them giggle and the same tricks get their attention. Mom did an excellent job color coordinating their clothing.  Thank you guys for letting me capture these images for you. Here is your sneak peek!
